Dear Friends,

Greetings from the Team ISPAE 2023-24!

It is a privilege to write this message as the current President on behalf of the new Executive Council (EC) of ISPAE.

We had exciting two years of new developments under the stewardship of Dr. Shaila Bhattacharyya and her EC team. ISPAE Diabetes Education And Learning program (IDEAL), a certified course on diabetes education for childhood diabetes; Basic Education Series in Type 1 diabetes (BEST), an educational program for children with type 1 diabetes and their caregivers; and Academic and Clinical Education Series (ISPAE-ACES), the flagship academic program for pediatric trainee fellows were brilliant initiatives of the team ISPAE 2021-22.

The start of the Journal of Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes two years ago has been a landmark for pediatric endocrinology in India. We have had the opportunity to watch the beautiful growth of the journal under the close care of Prof. P. S. N. Menon, Prof. Rakesh Kumar, Dr. Rajni Sharma, and the team. We are sure this journal will grow and spread its wings wide and far!

We hope to improve on the milestones set by the previous EC. The plan for the future includes growth of ISPAE in the social and academic domains. Setting up type 1 diabetes registry and formulation of modules for pediatricians and educational materials on various pediatric endocrine disorders for families are some of the goals we have set for ourselves. We look forward to your kind support and help.
