President’s Page

Dear friends,

It has been an honor to have served as the President of the Indian Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Endocrinology (ISPAE) for the past 2 years. The recently concluded highly successful Asia Pacific Pediatric Endocrine Society (APPES)-ISPAE Joint Meeting at New Delhi was a measure of the growth that ISPAE has achieved in the world arena of Pediatric Endocrinology. The growth of ISPAE as an academic society warms the heart. It has been a brilliant journey from the humble origins of a few pediatric endocrinologists who envisaged the establishment of ISPAE to improve pediatric endocrinology in India to a society that has its own website, journal, educational programs, constant growth with new initiatives, and delivery of the best-advanced care to children with endocrine issues. The Journal of Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes (JPED) is growing and evolving constantly to become a journal of high caliber under the leadership of Prof PSN Menon and Prof Rakesh Kumar. We are sure that JPED’s future journey will be even better than now.

We are also looking forward to having a new team leading ISPAE to a brilliant period of growth in academics and health care over the next couple of years. We wish them the best.
