Dear friends,

As I take on the role of President of Indian Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Endocrinology, I want to sincerely thank the outgoing executive team. Their unwavering commitment, tireless efforts, and visionary leadership have greatly furthered our mission. Their foundation will undoubtedly support our collective goals in the years ahead.

As we look toward the future, we must build on these achievements and forge a path that enhances our impact in pediatric endocrinology. To this end, I am excited to announce the formation of 12 focused working groups that will address the diverse aspects of our specialty. These groups will unite experts in diabetes, growth disorders, thyroid issues, adrenal health, bone health, disorders of sex development, and pubertal issues, among others. This collaborative effort aims to streamline research, improve clinical practices, and develop guidelines tailored to Indian needs.

Furthermore, we acknowledge the necessity of strong patient advocacy initiatives. As healthcare professionals, we must ensure that the voices of our patients and their families are recognized. We will actively collaborate with patient organizations, non-profit groups, and stakeholders to create resources and support systems that empower those impacted by endocrine disorders. A significant step in our mission is developing new patient registries. These registries will facilitate the collection of vital data, allowing us to better understand the epidemiology of endocrine conditions and assess treatment outcomes. This foundation of evidence-based practice will be crucial for advancing research and enhancing the quality of care we provide.

As we embark on this exciting journey together, I invite each of you to actively participate in these initiatives. Your involvement will be crucial in shaping the future of pediatric and adolescent endocrinology in India. Together, we can make significant strides toward providing our patients with the best possible care and ensuring a brighter future for all children affected by endocrine disorders.

Thank you for your continued dedication and support.

With warm regards,

Dr. Anurag Bajpai

President, Indian Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Endocrinology, Regency Center for Diabetes, Endocrinology and Research, Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India.
