President’s Page
It is my pleasure and pride to write a message for Journal of Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes. I take this opportunity to congratulate Dr. Rakesh Kumar who is the brain behind this journal. I appreciate his dedication and perseverance in executing this project. I hope through this journal we facilitate excellence in pediatric endocrine clinical care in India and abroad.
My dream projects for this year as the President of the Indian Society of Pediatric and Adolescent Endocrinology (ISPAE) are:
ISPAE-ACES Monthly teaching program to disseminate knowledge among young endocrinologists in India
ISPAE-IDEAL Type 1 diabetes educator course (basic and advanced) to improve the care for children with type 1 diabetes mellitus in India
ISPAE Fellowship program to support early career in pediatric endocrinology.
Let us all join together and make these programs a grand success. I hope these academic activities continue to grow higher than my dreams.
My mission for the coming year is to collaborate and improve the networking across endocrine organizations and work in partnership with members of all other societies nationally and internationally. Last but not the least, our aim is to implement universal newborn screening for hypothyroidism in India.
